Bhagavad Gita

Syracuse, March 9 – 10 Bhagavad Gita Chapter 9

Sri Bhagavan said: “Whereas, I will explain clearly and in detail to you, who are without calumny, this most secret knowledge together with immediate knowledge, knowing, which you will be released from all that is inauspicious.”

Thus starts the IX chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. Sri Bhagavan immediately introduces us to the topic that he will deal with in the 34 verses that compose it – Supreme knowledge and the supreme secret of this knowledge. And why is the supreme secret? The reasons are varied.

The fact is that although this knowledge has always been taught, it is rarely understood, remaining a secret, despite being revealed. The “Supreme Knowledge” is based on an understanding that must be assimilated, and not as intellectual fact. However, many factors prevent it from being assimilated. Also, a certain preparation is required to be able to receive and assimilate it. That is why it remains the biggest secret.

Preparation is the most important thing that a person can choose to undertake. In this seminar dedicated to the study of Bhagavad Gita, we will begin to prepare ourselves to be initiated into this Knowledge, which is the basis of Yoga and Vedanta through the teaching of Swami Ananda Saraswati Maharaj. Swamiji will guide and accompany us on this exciting journey, made of steps that lead to the knowledge of ourselves and of the ultimate truths that concern us.

Swamiji was born and grew up in the state of Orissa (east India), in a provincial village far from the urban metropolis, this has left an indelible mark on him which translates into his particular simple, genuine and direct approach to life. Swamiji is an Acharya, an authority on Yoga and Vedanta, who lives his life in accordance with the teaching. Swamiji is the author of several books on self-improvement and is editor of the socio-cultural magazine “Ama Vivek“, and periodically participates in television socio-religious programs in the Indian channels, traveling abroad to share the teaching of Vedanta and Yoga to those who are interested. Swamiji firmly believes that knowledge is a gift from God that must be given to those who are ready and sincerely desire it.

The seminar will take place on 2 weekends 7 – 8 – 20/21 April at the Yoga Vidya Italia center (Siracusa).
