Guru Pada Puja Performed at Vishvamitra Gurukulam, Uttarkashi

Uttarkashi, July 10 — In the holy land of the Himalayas, at the peaceful Vishvamitra Gurukulam by the banks of Mother Bhagirathi, the sacred Guru Pada Puja was performed with devotion and respect for Pujya Sri Swami Ananda Saraswati.

Guru Purnima is a sacred day to honor the Guru, the one who dispels darkness and leads us to light. It commemorates the birth of Maharishi Veda Vyasa, and celebrates the timeless bond of wisdom between Guru and disciple.

On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, Guru Pada puja was lovingly conducted by Sri Gautham, Swamiji’s devoted disciple. As per tradition, deer skin asana and vastram was offered at the lotus feet of Swamiji. With great kindness and humility, Swamiji accepted the offerings and blessed the disciples.

The Gurukulam was filled with the sound of Vedic mantras and the spirit of Guru-śiṣya paramparā. This puja was not just a ritual, but a heartfelt offering of gratitude and surrender to the Guru, who is seen as Sākṣāt Parambrahma.

May the blessings of the Guru guide all seekers on the path of truth and uphold the glory of Sanātana Dharma.
